This policy explains which personal data S.C. ALFA MECHIM S.R.L. processes through the alfamechim.ro website, why we process it, how long we keep it and what rights you have, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable Romanian law. The Romanian version of this policy prevails in case of any discrepancy.
1. Who we are
The data controller is S.C. ALFA MECHIM S.R.L., with its registered office at Str. Drăgăicii 2A, Buzău 120224, Romania, VAT number RO4980985, registered with the Trade Register under no. J1993001888102.

2. Data we process
- Data sent through our forms (the contact form and the quote request forms): name, company, e-mail address, phone number, your message, and the products, packaging and quantities you are interested in.
- Correspondence with us by e-mail or phone.
- Technical data recorded automatically by the hosting server for operation and security (for example IP address, date and time of access, browser type).
We do not use the website for marketing, we do not build profiles and we do not sell your data. The website currently uses no traffic analytics or advertising tools.
3. Why we process your data and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiries and send you quotes – legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in replying to those who contact us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To conclude and perform contracts with our customers – legal basis: the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To comply with legal obligations, such as accounting obligations – legal basis: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To keep the website secure and prevent abuse, including filtering spam – legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- To display the Google map on the contact page – legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time from “Cookie settings”.
4. Who we share data with
- Our hosting and e-mail provider, which stores the data on its servers under a contract and only on our instructions.
- Google (Google Ireland Limited / Google LLC), only if you choose to load the Google map. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Details: Google Privacy Policy.
- Public authorities, only where the law requires us to.
5. How long we keep data
- Messages and quote requests: as long as needed to reply and for any resulting cooperation, but no longer than 3 years after the last correspondence.
- Accounting documents: the periods required by law (usually 10 years, under Romanian Accounting Law no. 82/1991).
- Server technical logs: the limited period set by the hosting provider, for security purposes.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection, and the right to withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. To exercise any of these rights, write to contact@alfamechim.ro; we reply within one month at the latest.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Romanian National Supervisory Authority for Personal Data Processing (ANSPDCP), B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru nr. 28-30, sector 1, Bucharest, www.dataprotection.ro, or with the supervisory authority in your own EU country.
7. Data security
The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the messages we receive is limited to the people in our company who need them to reply to you.
